Autumn weather

Here and there a bit of all is okay, but there is no reason to exaggerate it. – We’ve got a proper autumn weather, meaning lots of cold fronts are playing around, – one from the west and the other from the east in combination with swell from the south – hurray!

I clearly see the weather frogs jumping the ladder up and down, which generally tends to look funny, but isn’t really relaxing ….

Nevertheless we try to climb our way to the north, – which is not easy but I grew up knowing that life’s not meant to be easy. – Or like Robin likes to say: ‘da muäsch dure’, which is Swiss German and means: you have to go through whether you like it or not.

For compensation now and then some dolphins play around our boat, – and as usual, the world looks much friendlier after their visit 🙂

To hide away from the upcoming cold front, we find a nice anchorage at Capo Cavo Cavallo in the south of Olbia, after two rather swelly nights. We drop our anchor together with SY Heatwave and wait for the summer.

After three rather ugly days the sun looks through the clouds and the world looks much better again.

For the upcoming two weeks the weather forecast is nice, thus my kayak is looking forward to enjoy the fresh air and water.

Although the water temperature is only around 18° thus rather cold, the swimming makes much more fun with the sun shining.

Our next stop over on Sardinia is by Cannigione, a small holiday town in the north east of the island.

In 2010 we rented a sailing boat in Cannigione to explore Sardinia. Now we are back with our own boat, which is so much better 🙂 .

We move from bay to bay in the north of Sardinia, waiting for a good wind to sail to Corse.

On May 30 we decide to cross over to Corse.

As the main winds are forecasted being from the north east, we’ll sail along the west coast of Corse. – Let’s talk about that in our next update ….

See u soon!
