YANMAR test run

Everything goes extremely slowly. – But finally the moment of truth arrives: the test run with our new engine, – and it really runs 🙂 ! Although some small things need to be corrected, especially the isolation, our new YANMAR seems to run quite nicely. Obviously one can only tell whether that’s true or not after some weeks of running it.

The following day we move to the dry dock. The antifouling looks super good, – no signs of growing, thus the coppercoat did a good job.

While our Carré d’As is on the hard, we move to the hotel Porto Drach, which is right next to the marina. From our balcony we can easily watch our boat.

My time learning Spanish is running out, thus we go to a nice restaurant with my teacher Gudrun as reward for her patience with me. – Without Gudrun I would never have managed to go through the Spanish grammar, – even the ‘dative’ isn’t frightening me anymore….

The maintenance on our boat is well on track and it seems we can move back into the water upcoming Thursday or Friday.
